Just Signed Up For A Flickr Account! Hurrah!

Woo-hoo! I just signed up to Flickr and I love it! Yes, yes, I know - Flickr has been around for a million billion years and I'm a sad, but big deal! ;)

I've started uploading a few family photos and so far I'm lovin' just how easy it is to organise everything. Please feel free to check out my Flickr account and let me know what you think of my current batch of photos. However, at the moment it's just limited to a few pictures of the little one, a slice of chocolate sponge cake, Etching Hill and my Jack Russel terrier. But there will be more to come! Honest!

I also went ahead and made a news post about this on my own personal blog here: My New Flickr Account

Capcom's response to Devil May Cry 4 fans' threats

It appears that the latest news concerning Capcom's highly-anticipated survival-horror game, Devil May Cry 4, losing its much hyped 'exclusive' status to the PS3 and going multi-platform, didn't go down quite so well amongst dedicated PS3 fans.

The news of Devil May Cry 4 being released on the PS3's main competitor's platform, the Microsoft Xbox 360 -- not to mention the PC too -- which was revealed just a few days on Devil May Cry.org (Devil May Cry 4 goes multi-platform! PS3, Xbox 360 and PC) originally came as quite a shock as Devil May Cry 4 was considered to be one of the Sony PS3's essential upcoming killer-titles; and losing it's exclusive status can only spell bad news for Sony.

However, now Capcom has even more to contend with where angry PS3 fans are concerned, as they have gone so far as to create an online petition whereby fans around the world are adding their signature to a growing list of fans who are threatening to boycott all future Capcom titles unless Devil May Cry 4 resumes its exclusive status for the Sony Playstation 3.

Capcom's senior director of strategic planning and research, Christian Svensson, recently replied to a thread that was created within the official Capcom forums entitled 'What are you thinking, Capcom?' and stated:

"We are certainly moved that people are so passionate about our products that they would go to such extremes. At the same time we feel that allowing more people access to our content pleases far more people than it displeases (after all, we're not denying DMC4 to anyone that was already going to get it). It really is the best decision for the company and for consumers."

The thread was later locked but the compilation of signatures appears to still be gradually growing; the petition has reached a grand total of 8,119 signatures so far.

Interview with Mike West from Lionhead Studios (Fable 2)

A podcast about Non-computer RPG’s had an interview with Mike West (he works on the Quests in Fable 2). It’s a pretty good discussion about the limitations of video games in terms of AI, companionship and cost of creation. It’s almost an hour long. There is also a lot of places to read between the lines in terms of Fable 2. Check it out!!

It’s been at Lionhead for over a week but I guess I’ve been waiting for GDC and over looked it.
